Sherlock: Season 1

A contemporary dramatization on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle stories, Sherlock is a thrilling, funny, fast-paced adventure series set in present-day London.

Co-created by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Coupling), Sherlock stars BAFTA nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Fifth Estate, 12 Years a Slave) as the ‘new’ Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman (The Hobbis, The Office, Love Actually) as hisloyal friend, Doctor John Watson.

The iconic details from Conan Doyle’s canon remain: they live at 221B Baker Street, Mrs. Hudson is their landlady and – somewhere out there – Moriarty is waiting for them…

And so: across three thrilling, scary, action-packed and highly modern-day adventurers… Sherlock and Watson navigate a maze of cryptic clues and lethal killers to get at the final truth.

Here at #TeamESHolmes, we love the BBC’s Sherlock series.  If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, start with Season 1 featured above, and start your addiction…

The series not only gathers some of the best contemporary actors, but: you’ll be fascinated by the many unique references upon Doyle’s literary classics as well as the subtle, roguish humor throughout.

If you’re already a staunch fan (like us), perhaps you’ll want to revisit the previous seasons in order to stave off your SH and/or Cumberbatch obsessions until Season Four premiers in 2016.

But:  don’t just listen to us…Listen to the Sherlockian community and please feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions below.
